About This Book

In this treatise we propose to discuss (1) poetry itself; (2) the various forms it can take; (3) the function and potential possibilities of each form; (4) how the incidents of the plot must be arranged if the poem is to be a good one; (5) the number and kinds of parts various types of poetry may have; and (6) whatever else pertains to the same inquiry.
